WELCOME
Welcome to Sandwich, our wonderful community that we call home. Centrally located 60 miles west of Chicago, Sandwich provides industry with a well-balanced network of ground transportation corridors. Route 34 runs through the heart of our town, with I-88 just 20 miles north of town. Visitors and residents can peruse our specialty shops and fine restaurants. The Sandwich Antique Market and our world-famous Sandwich Fair bring visitors to our city during the summer and fall months. The historic Sandwich Opera House, our local home for the performing arts, provides LIVE entertainment to the area, and is financially supported by people who honor the arts. Other event highlights include the Taste of Sandwich, Annual Craft Fair, Sandwich Freedom Days and More on 34 all hosted by local businesses.
Sandwich has a vibrant business community focused on stimulating growth and prosperity for all existing and future enterprises. The Sandwich Chamber of Commerce is devoted to working with businesses and organizations in the community. Fall Festival of CraftsThe fall festival of crafts takes place every year, the last Thursday in September. This year's festivities fall on Thursday, September 30, 2010, 9am - 5pm. There are four locations for this fair: 52nd Hill Family Fall Festival of Crafts - Sandwich Fair Grounds 17th Annual Crafts Under The Big Top - Railroad St, Downtown Sandwich Indian Springs Crafts - Indian Springs Shopping Center, East Route 34, Sandwich Willow Crest Crafts - Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion, North Main Street, Sandwich
